The purpose of the Child Development Home (CDH) Director with Oversight position is twofold: (l) developmentally appropriate home-based early childhood and school age program for children of eligible patrons and (2) oversee all installation Child and Youth Programs (CYPs). Administration includes direction and operation of a small (up to 29 homes) or medium (30-85 homes) CDH. A variety of services are provided by CDH providers in accordance with demand and availability of funding, including full-time child development programs for infants, pretoddlers, toddlers, preschool and school-age children as well as emergency, respite, hourly, infant and toddler, special needs, extended hours, and overnight care.
The purpose of the Child Development Home (CDH) Director position is to administer a home based developmentally appropriate early childhood and school age program for children of eligible patrons. Administration includes direction and operation of a large CDH system (86+ providers).
This is a Statement of Difference to the intermediate position, Child and Youth (CY) Program Assistant, GS-1702-03. Full performance level for this position is Child and Youth (CY) Program Assistant, GS-1702-04. This position is an entry position leading to the full performance level. The purpose of the CY Program Assistant is to provide appropriate developmental care and instruction for children and youth ranging in age from 6 weeks to 18 years in one or more CY programs.
This is a Statement of Difference to the full performance position, Child and Youth (CY) Program Assistant, GS-1702-04. This position is the intermediate position leading to the full performance position. Entry level position is Child and Youth (CY) Program Assistant, GS-1702-02. The purpose of the CY Program Assistant is to provide appropriate developmental care and instruction for children and youth ranging in age from 6 weeks to 18 years in one or more CY programs.
This is the full performance level of a career ladder. Entry level is Child and Youth (CY) Program Assistant, GS-02 and intermediate level is Child and Youth (CY) Program Assistant, GS-03. The purpose of the Child and Youth (CY) Program Assistant is to provide appropriate developmental care and instruction for children and youth ranging in age from 6 weeks to 18 years in one or more CY programs.
This position serves as the School Liaison Officer (SLO) on Navy installations in designated Navy Child and Youth Programs (CYP). The SLO serves as the installation subject matter expert for issues and processes involving Local Education Agencies (LEA) on all K-12 educational matters relating to public, private, home schooling and where applicable Department of Defense Education
Activity Schools (DoDEA).
This position serves as the School Liaison Officer (SLO) on medium and large Navy installations in designated Navy Child and Youth Programs (CYP). The SLO serves as the installation subject matter expert for issues and processes involving Local Education Agencies (LEA) on all K-12 educational matters
relating to public, private, home schooling and where applicable Department of Defense Education Activity Schools (DoDEA).
This position serves as the Region School Liaison Officer (SLO) in Navy Regions under designated Navy Child and Youth Programs (CYP). The Region SLO serves as the subject matter expert for issues and processes involving State and Local Education Agencies (LEA) on all K-12 educational matters relating to public, private, home schooling and where applicable Department of Defense Education Activity Schools (DoDEA).
The purpose of the Installation Child and Youth Program (CYP) Director is to provide oversight to all child and youth programs at an installation to facilitate the provision of safe, healthy, secure, and developmentally appropriate services for children and youth ages 6 weeks to 18 years.
The purpose of the Child Development Center (CDC) Director position is to administer a center based developmentally appropriate early childhood program for children of eligible patrons. Administration includes the direction and operation of a large (200+) CDC. A variety of services are provided in accordance with demand and availability of funding to include full-time child development programs for ages 6 weeks through 12 years, emergency care, special needs care, developmental assessments, and extensive staff training and parent education programs.
