The purpose of the Child Development Home (CDH) Director with Oversight position is twofold: (l) developmentally appropriate home-based early childhood and school age program for children of eligible patrons and (2) oversee all installation Child and Youth Programs (CYPs). Administration includes direction and operation of a small (up to 29 homes) or medium (30-85 homes)CDH. A variety of services are provided by CDH providers in
accordance with demand and availability of funding, including full-time child development programs for infants, pretoddlers, toddlers, preschool and school-age children as well as emergency, respite, hourly, infant and toddler, special needs, extended hours, and overnight care. Services provided by the CDH program include developmental assessments, extensive CDH
provider training, CDH inspections and home visits, and parent education programs.

A variety of services are provided in accordance with demand and availability of funding to include full-time child development programs for ages 6 weeks through 12 years, emergency care, special needs care, developmental assessments, and extensive staff training and parent education programs.

The purpose of the CY Program Assistant is to provide appropriate developmental care and instruction for children and youth ranging in age from 6 weeks to 18 years in one or more CY programs.

There are three distinct placards for use on each crib and portable crib per infant. Every infant in care in a CYP must have an applicable placard prominently displayed in a clear sheet protector attached to or immediately above the infantΓÇÖs assigned crib.
