The Navy Child and Youth Programs (CYP) Hourly Care Standard provides standardized processes and procedures enterprise-wide, maximizes CYP space utilization, and enables the acceptance of hourly care reservations up to 30 days in advance
Annual unannounced inspections are required at all Navy Child and Youth Programs (CYP) operated on any Navy installation or jurisdiction by Commander, Navy Installations Command (CNIC) CYP Higher Headquarters. This is the Inspection Criteria Checklist that will be used during the CY24 inspection cycle for Youth programs, effective 1 January 2024. All personnel responsible for CYP operations are required to be aware of the criteria and ensure they are met.

Parents receive a copy of the Parent Handbook at enrollment and sign that they received its information and understand its policies.

This Navy Youth Sports and Fitness (YSF) Standard is designed to assist all Navy Child and Youth Programs by standardizing opportunities for youth participation in sports and fitness activities on-base or in close proximity to where Navy families live off-base. YSF programming helps Navy families balance the demands of family life and military readiness by providing opportunities for youth to engage in rewarding physical activity and by exposing youth to positive lifestyle behaviors. Standardizing the opportunities for youth participation in a variety of sports, fitness, health, and recreational activities throughout Navy installations allows military families to effectively and efficiently use available resources.
The School Based Programming Guidebook serves as a guide to initiating and sustaining Child and Youth Education Services and Youth Sponsorship programs in Local Education Agencies. The guidebook also outlines the specific responsibilities of Navy SLOs with regard to the initiatives.
