Parent Handbook - Navy CYP
Navy CYP believes working as a team with families results in higher quality programming and more success in meeting the needs of children and youth. The Parent Handbook is written in an accessible, reader-friendly format for clear communication of Navy CYP's programs, services, and policies. It covers all information required by OPNAVINST 1700.9 (series) as well as additional information families need for a thorough introduction to Navy CYP. The Parent Handbook is comprised of an overview of Navy CYP's system of care, followed by four program-specific sections that give more detailed information to parents with children or youth in CDCs, 24/7 Centers, CDHs, and YPs. The Parent Handbook is provided at family enrollment with a local Installation Information Sheet to facilitate further communication between local CYPs and families. Families sign on the Permission Statements Form that they received and understand the information and policies contained in the Parent Handbook. Please see the Change Summary document for a summary of the updates included in the July 2024 revision.
