The Parent Handbook is written for parents and families whose children and youth are enrolled in Navy CYP. It provides an overview of Navy CYP services, programming, and policies. Parents receive a copy of the Parent Handbook at enrollment and sign that they received its information and understand its policies.

The Department of Defense Instruction 6060.02 updates established policy, assigns responsibilities, and prescribes procedures for providing care to eligible children (birth through age 12 years).

Some N9 NAFI programs require patrons to sign Hold Harmless Agreements (HHA) in order to participate in a particular program, activity, or event. For those N9 programs, activities or events requiring a signed HHA, such a requirement is mandatory and a prerequisite for participation.
