Checklist of SOP's required in a CYP.

School Liaison materials provided by Embassy in Singapore to support arriving Navy Families. Importance of all Navy SLOs understanding the process and knowing how to get families engaged prior to arrival are important. Registration costs at some of the NDSP schools can be as much as $12K and require parents to work in advance of arrival.

The Navy School Liaison Directory is available to provide the point of contact information for every region and installation School Liaisons (SLs) to assist families with their educational needs.

The School Based Programming Guidebook serves as a guide to initiating and sustaining Child and Youth Education Services and Youth Sponsorship programs in Local Education Agencies. The guidebook also outlines the specific responsibilities of Navy SLOs with regard to the initiatives.

Navy Child and Youth Programs standardized positions descriptions (PDs) are required to be use for all Navy CYP operations. Enclosure (1) provides an updated chart of all CYP standardized PDs which are required to be used. Both Appropriated Fund (APF) and Non-Appropriated Fund (NAF) standardized PDs have been classified and are provided.

Students at the Center: A Resource for Military Families, Military Leaders and School Leaders was co-created by the Department of Education Activity (DoDEA) and the Collaborative Communications Group.

During the parent orientation prior to each program, the Navy YSF Program Start Smart Parent Fact Sheet will be issued and discussed with parents. The information within the Start Smart Parent Fact Sheet concerns the basic rules of the activity, equipment requirements, safety issues, promotion of good sportsmanship for both children and parents, and skill development for their child.

School Liaison Officer's (SLOs) are responsible for all aspects of implementing the CYES function of the Navy's CYP. The SLO serves as the primary liaison between community schools, commanders, and military parents. This guidebook will inform you of the seven core responsibilites of a SLO and enhance your ability to perform your duties.

The Self-Release Form allows parents, based on the Installation's home alone policy, to authorize self-release privileges for their eligible youth.
