DoD Instruction 6060.04 establishes policy, assigns responsibilities, and provides direction for the establishment and maintenance of DoD Youth Services. This includes the Youth Program (YP), Youth Sports and Fitness Program (YSFP), School Liaison Program (SLP), and Youth Sponsorship Program. This issuance applies to OSD, the Military Departments, the Office of the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and the Joint Staff, the Combatant Commands, the Office of the Inspector General of the Department of Defense, the Defense Agencies, the DoD Field Activities, and all other organizational entities within the DoD.

The Department of Defense Instruction 6060.02 updates established policy, assigns responsibilities, and prescribes procedures for providing care to eligible children (birth through age 12 years).
It is the policy ofthe Department ofDefense Education Activity (DoDEA) that every DoDEA teacher will make available information to parents.l:p1d students at the beginning ofeach course or grade level to include grading policy and course requirements. This information will be provided to parents and students by the end ofthe first month of the school year or in the case of a semester course, by the end ofthe first month of the semester.
This Policy Memorandum supersedes all previous policies on home schooling issued by the Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA). It applies to DoD dependent students eligible to attend a DoDEA school on a space-required basis in the
Department of Defense Dependents Schools (DoDDS) and on a tuition-free basis in the
Department of Defense Domestic Dependent Elementary and Secondary Schools (DDESS) systems.

CDC, 24/7 Center, and CDH Programs use the Daily Gram to collect information from parents before dropping the child off in care. The form helps Teachers prepare for the child's needs on that specific day. It is also used to share information with the parents about their child's time in care.
Section 1793 of title 10, United States Code, requires that DoD prescribe uniform fee regulations for Military Child Development Center (CDC) and School-Age Care (SAC) programs. In addition, pursuant to DoD Instruction 6060.02, "Child Development Programs (CDPs)," August 5, 2014, the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Manpower and Reserve Affairs shall annually review and issue a child care fee policy based upon total family income (TFI) for use by programs in the DoD child development system of care.
