Module 5: Education and Career Development Encouraging youth to set goals and make sound decisions related to education and career interests is an important role for Program Assistants. School Liaison Officer's (SLOs) are responsible for all aspects of implementing the CYES function of the Navy's CYP. The SLO serves as the primary liaison between community schools, commanders, and military parents. Module 14: Programming, Part I - Every Youth Center strives to achieve a balanced and enriched program that will attract youth. This guide explains the program structure that is in place in every Youth Center, regardless of its size or location. It will help you develop programs that fit this framework and interest youth.

Module 14: Programming Part II - Strengthening and expanding programming for youth requires insight into what appeals to youth. It also requires skills and knowledge in planning, implementing and evaluating programs. This guide will show you the importance of observation and teamwork in enhancing programming.

This course is designed to teach professionals who support military-connected children and youth the challenges and joys that children face during a time of reintegration following a family memberΓÇÖs return after an extended absence. Participants will learn strategies to help students adjust during the reunion, and during the journey of reconnecting and reestablishing family routine.
