On November 17, 2014, the National Alliance for Youth Sports (NAYS) updated the Navy CYP Chapter Utilities section of the NAYS Chapter Management Website to include a NYSCA Online Training for Non-Traditional Sports Coaches. The purpose of this webinar is to provide a tutorial of the newly designed NYSCA Online Training for Non-Traditional Sports Coaches. The target audience for this training is Youth Directors, Assistant Youth Directors, Youth Sports and Fitness Coordinators, Teen Coordinators, and direct care staff who are responsible for assisting in the execution of Navy Youth Sports and Fitness (YSF) programming.

Navy Installation CDH Programs will establish local Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) outlining a reimbursement process through the Direct Care Subsidy Program (DCSP) for providers seeking to obtain or retain national accreditation.

The Council of Professional Recognition has developed the Child Development Associate and Military School Age credentials to improve the quality of child and school-age care programs. CNIC CYP will continue to provide supplemental funding to offer CYP employees and CDH Providers an opportunity to continue their training and receive recognition from a national organization. CNIC (N926) has established a centralized contract with the Council of Professional Recognition to streamline the process for funding the CDA and MSA credentials. Enclosures (1) through (4) provide the processes for participating in this opportunity.

Navy Child and Youth Programs standardized positions descriptions (PDs) are required to be use for all Navy CYP operations. Enclosure (1) provides an updated chart of all CYP standardized PDs which are required to be used. Both Appropriated Fund (APF) and Non-Appropriated Fund (NAF) standardized PDs have been classified and are provided.
