The Council of Professional Recognition has developed the Child Development Associate and Military School Age credentials to improve the quality of child and school-age care programs. CNIC CYP will continue to provide supplemental funding to offer CYP employees and CDH Providers an opportunity to continue their training and receive recognition from a national organization. CNIC (N926) has established a centralized contract with the Council of Professional Recognition to streamline the process for funding the CDA and MSA credentials. Enclosures (1) through (4) provide the processes for participating in this opportunity.
The purpose of the Regional Family Child Care (FCC) Director is to facilitate the provision of safe, healthy, secure and developmentally appropriate child and youth services.
The purpose of the Regional Child and Youth Program (CYP)Director is to provide oversight to CYP programs at installations within a metro area to facilitate the provision of safe, healthy, secure, and developmentally appropriate services for children and youth within a metro area.
The purpose of the Child Development Center (CDC) Director with Oversight position is twofold: (1) to administer a developmentally appropriate child development program for children of eligible patrons; and (2) oversee all installation Child and Youth Programs (CYPs). Administration includes the
direction and operation of a medium CDC (101-199 children). A variety of services are provided in accordance with demand and availability of funding to include full-time child development programs for ages 6 weeks through 12 years, emergency care, special needs care, developmental assessments, and extensive staff training and parent education programs.
