The purpose of the Child and Youth Program (CYP) Leader is to provide appropriate specialized developmental care and instruction for children and youth ranging in age from 6 weeks to 18 years in one or more CY programs. This includes the provision of guidance, assistance, and mentoring for the CY Program Assistants.

The purpose of the Child and Youth Programs (CYP) Operations Clerk is to serve as a contact point for information and perform clerical and administrative tasks in support of the CYP, which includes Child Development Centers (CDCs), Child Development Homes (CDH), School Age Care (SAC) programs, Youth Programs (YP), Resource and Referral (R&R) Program, and the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) Food Program.

The purpose of the Child and Youth Program (CYP) Training and Curriculum (T&C) Specialist position is threefold: (1) to provide and deliver a comprehensive training program to CYP employees and Child Development Home (CDH) providers that supports the professional requirements of their positions, (2)to assist with the implementation of a developmentally appropriate curriculum/program that fosters the physical, social, emotional, cognitive and language development of children and youth, ages 6 weeks to 18 years, and (3) to promote school readiness and support ongoing school success. A comprehensive CYP training program directly correlates to the quality of child and youth programs provided.

The purpose of the Child Development Center (CDC) Director with Oversight position is twofold: (1) to administer a developmentally appropriate child development program for children of eligible patrons and (2) oversee all installation Child and Youth Programs (CYPs). Administration includes the direction and operation of a small CDC (up to 100 children).

The purpose of the Child Development Center (CDC) Director with Oversight position is twofold: (1) to administer a developmentally appropriate child development program for children of eligible patrons; and (2) oversee all installation Child and Youth Programs (CYPs). Administration includes the direction and operation of a medium CDC (101-199 children).

UFC system is prescribed by MIL-STD 3007 and provides planning, design, construction, sustainment, restoration, and modernization criteria, and applies to the Military Departments, the Defense Agencies, and the DoD Field Activities in accordance with USD(AT&L) Memorandum dated 29 May 2002.

Administration includes the direction and operation of a small (up to 99 children) School Age Care (SAC) program and/or a Youth Program (YP). A variety of services are provided in accordance with demand and availability of funding to include programs for children ages 5 years through 18 years such as before and after school programs, summer and vacation camp, open recreation, sports and fitness activities, teen programming, and special events. Activities are responsive to the developmental, recreational, social, psychological, and cultural needs of children and youth.

The purpose of the Youth Director with Oversight position is twofold: (1) to administer a developmentally appropriate youth program for children of eligible patrons and (2) oversee all installation Child and Youth Programs (CYPs). Administration includes the direction and operation of a medium (100-199 children) School Age Care (SAC) program and/or a Youth Program (YP). A variety of services are provided in accordance with demand and availability of funding to include programs for children ages 5 years through 18 years such as before and after school programs, summer and vacation camp, open recreation, sports and fitness activities, teen programming, and special events. Activities are responsive to the developmental, recreational, social, psychological, and cultural needs of children and youth.

Activities are responsive to the developmental, recreational, social, psychological, and cultural needs of children and youth.
