The Youth Staff Training Program is a series of self-study training modules that form the core of the Navy Foundation Training Program for Program Assistants working with youth in sixth ΓÇô twelfth grades. The competency-based training modules equip Program Assistants with the skills and knowledge necessary to be successful working with youth and include real-life situations faced by middle school and teen youth every day.

The Navy CYP and the USDA have entered into an Interagency Agreement for training, technical assistance, and materials to support CYP. This partnership, entitled the "4-H Youth Development Project" (YDP), allows Navy CYP access to services and materials from a 4-H nationally recognized youth organization.

This policy letter establishes the policies, procedures and requirements for participation in the CYP TA program. The supporting documents are attached.

The Medication Authorization Form is required for all children who need to take prescription medications while at the CYP.

The Navy CYP Registration Form is used by families to enroll children and youth in a Child and Youth Program.

The Medication Dispensation Log provides a written record of the medication being given by CYP staff to the child (when it was administered, by whom, and the dosage given).

To document voluntary services provided by an individual, including the hours of service performed, and to obtain agreement from the volunteer on the conditions for accepting the performance of voluntary service.

To provide Child and Youth Programs (CYP) with information to determine the qualifications, suitability and availability of applicants for volunteer positions within the CYP.
