Achieving and maintaining NAEYC accreditation is required of all eligible Navy child development centers and 24/7 centers. All programs are considered eligible unless an approved exception from CNIC is documented. In order to comply with Navy Child and Youth Program Policy, new and non-accredited programs must follow the Navy CYP timetable to gain NAEYC accreditation status. This fillable timeline is required to notify CNIC of the plan toward NAEYC accreditation for all non-accredited programs and serves as a guide for action planning to become accredited.

CNIC (N926) has established a centralized contract with the Council of Professional Recognition to streamline the process for funding the CDA and MSA credentials.
