This guidebook is written for anyone responsible for staff development and those interested in training adults in Navy Child Development Programs. This book is a response to the crucial need to revitalize the approach to training early childhood educators. The following book contains a collection of teaching tools and learning strategies for teaching adult learners.

The Navy CYP and the USDA have entered into an Interagency Agreement for training, technical assistance, and materials to support CYP. This partnership, entitled the "4-H Youth Development Project" (YDP), allows Navy CYP access to services and materials from a 4-H nationally recognized youth organization.

The CYP Partnership Agreement with NAYS Policy Letter & Attachment provides specifics and processes regarding the NAYS Partnership Agreement to enhance the health and wellness of Navy youth with NAYS to provide streamlined processes for Youth Sport Coach and Officials certifications, Parent Association training, and the Start Smart program.

A guide provided by the USDA Food and Nutrition Service to support healthy meal patterns and portions for infant, child and adult (breakfast, lunch, supper, and snack).

The Navy CYP Parent Participation Plan (PPP) sample helps programs detail how they will encourage families to actively participate in their CYP. Programs are required to develop a PPP and must review and update their PPP on an annual basis to ensure an accurate and up-to-date ΓÇ£road mapΓÇ¥ for their participation efforts for the coming year.
