The Child and Youth Volunteer Orientation provides the basic essentials volunteers need to know before working with children and youth.
This learning event will provide a foundation for understanding the basics of:
- Volunteer support to the CYP Program
- The roles and responsibilities of a CYP volunteer
- The Systems of Care
- Ages and stages of children and youth
- CYP inclusive practices
- CYP Guidance and Touch Policies and how volunteers can support positive behavior within CYP Programs
- Identifying and reporting child abuse
- CYP health and safety policies and procedure
Before you begin, we recommend you review the systems requirements for this e-learning course. This course does include video and audio narration.
This course is estimated to take approximately 60-90 minutes to complete.
**PLEASE NOTE: A certificate will display at the end of the course. You must save a copy of this certificate and provide it to your local CYP program as documentation of course completion. Some options for saving a copy of this certificate include:
