This guide describes the Multi-Disciplinary Team Inspection (MDTI) process. It includes information for both Installation CYP Directors responsible for establishing and coordinating the MDTI and for CYPs to help program employees and Providers support and facilitate an effective and efficient MDTI.
In response to the 2013 White House Child and Youth Programs Task Force Report, the OSD has worked with the service branches to standardize the inspection processes. The Multidisciplinary Inspection is the latest to be standardized. The new MDTI checklists are required to be implemented in CY26. Either the previous CY25 version or the new standardized versions will meet MDTI documentation requirements for CY26.
