January 2023: Updated MDTI Commanding Officer Summary (pdf and word)

April 2025 Update: In response to the 2013 White House Child and Youth Programs Task Force Report, the OSD has worked with the service branches to standardize the inspection processes. The Multidisciplinary Inspection is the latest to be standardized. The new MDTI checklists are required to be implemented in CY26. However, we are publishing the new checklists on here (listed below as OPTION 2) as an option for programs to use when conducting MDTIs during CY25. Either the current version or the new standardized versions will meet MDTI requirements.

  • School Liaison Programs may use either the current CYP MDTI Checklist sections for School Liaison/Youth Sponsorship OR the new School Liaison Program MDTI Checklist.
  • School Age Care Programs may use either the current Youth Programs MDTI checklist OR the new School Age Care MDTI Checklist.
  • Recreational Programs will continue to use the current Youth Programs MDTI Checklist.
  • 24/7 Centers and Child Wait Centers may use either the current Early Childhood MDTI Checklist or the new Child Development Center MDTI Checklist.
