Pursuant to Section 574 (c) of P.L. 109-364, as amended, the Secretary of Defense is required to provide an annual update to the plan to provide assistance to local educational agencies (LEAs) that experience projected growth or loss in the enrollment of military dependent students. The projected growth or loss must be a result of force structure changes, relocation of military units, or the closure or realignment of military installations under the base closure laws.
