The Council of Professional Recognition has developed the Child Development Associate and Military School Age credentials to improve the quality of child and school-age care programs. CNIC CYP will continue to provide supplemental funding to offer CYP employees and CDH Providers an opportunity to continue their training and receive recognition from a national organization. CNIC (N926) has established a centralized contract with the Council of Professional Recognition to streamline the process for funding the CDA and MSA credentials. Enclosures (1) through (4) provide the processes for participating in this opportunity.

The DoD Standardized Training Program certificate is awarded to CYP staff who have completed the 15 courses of initial competency based training. Programs may use this certificate or create a version locally for use.
The CSO IT Solution has user roles designed to comply with separation of background check duties outlined in DoDI 1402.05. Because comments often contain PII or potential derogatory information to which CYP is not authorized access, their view is limited to rejection codes only. This document outlines group rejection reason codes.

All Navy child care payments are required prior to services (certain exceptions may apply). All program revenue must be posted the month service is provided. Program revenue is posted in CYMS only if payments are made. Guidance on how to transfer revenue at the end of the month is included in the EOM Activity Balance Transfer Process document. Operations Clerks are required to run this process monthly.
