The Navy CYP Parent Handbook policy letter indicates that programs are required to provide a handbook to parents which outlines CYP program policies and procedures for children participating in Navy CYP. The standardized handbook has been updated to assist program directors in meeting this requirement and to ensure a standardized message is articulated to families registered in Navy CYP. Programs are required to use the updated Parent Handbook by 31 January 2018.

The Parent Participation and the CYP Rewards Program webinar for Navy Child and Youth Programs provides an overview of the CYP Rewards Program and discusses the procedures that must be followed for implementing the CYP Rewards Program. The Navy CYP Parent Participation Plan (PPP) sample helps programs detail how they will encourage families to actively participate in their CYP. Programs are required to develop a PPP and must review and update their PPP on an annual basis to ensure an accurate and up-to-date ΓÇ£road mapΓÇ¥ for their participation efforts for the coming year.

Families use this form when they are enrolling and registering their children to document in writing their releases and authorizations for field trips, transportation, topical non-prescription product application, media release, an acknowledgement that they have received the Navy CYP Parent Handbook, and a general hold harmless release.
