The Council of Professional Recognition has developed the Child Development Associate and Military School Age credentials to improve the quality of child and school-age care programs. CNIC CYP will continue to provide supplemental funding to offer CYP employees and CDH Providers an opportunity to continue their training and receive recognition from a national organization. CNIC (N926) has established a centralized contract with the Council of Professional Recognition to streamline the process for funding the CDA and MSA credentials. Enclosures (1) through (4) provide the processes for participating in this opportunity.

Navy Child and Youth Programs standardized positions descriptions (PDs) are required to be use for all Navy CYP operations. Enclosure (1) provides an updated chart of all CYP standardized PDs which are required to be used. Both Appropriated Fund (APF) and Non-Appropriated Fund (NAF) standardized PDs have been classified and are provided.
This policy letter and attachment provide requirements and guidance for the utilization of the Family Child Care Certification Managment System or FCC-CMS. All FCC programs must use this tool to track and monitor FCC Provider certification processes from initial interest to full certification.
