Missoula Children's Theatre Camps Request

This opportunity is available for both CONUS and OCONUS installations to offer residency camps that can fulfill the installation requirements outlined in the Missoula Children's Theatre Camps Requirements document.

The Council of Professional Recognition has developed the Child Development Associate and Military School Age credentials to improve the quality of child and school-age care programs. CNIC CYP will continue to provide supplemental funding to offer CYP employees and CDH Providers an opportunity to continue their training and receive recognition from a national organization. CNIC (N926) has established a centralized contract with the Council of Professional Recognition to streamline the process for funding the CDA and MSA credentials. Enclosures (1) through (4) provide the processes for participating in this opportunity.

In order to support the implementation of the Navy YSF program, a comprehensive training and assessment plan has been developed to support installation personnel through the process. Line of Sight Supervision and Visual Identifier Requirements Policy

DOD and Navy Policy allow for CYP Professionals to work with children under Line of Sight Supervision, or LOSS, prior to full background check completion. All personnel working or providing services in Navy CYP without a favorably adjudicated Child Care investigation are required to be visually identifiable, as visual identifiers assist all staff in knowing which CYP Professionals in knowing with staff must be within LOSS. On September 28, 2018, the Assistant Secretary of Defense released a Memorandum that provides policy clarification of the term ΓÇ£Line of Sight Supervision.ΓÇ¥ The Navy CYP Line of Sight Supervision and Visual Identifier Requirements Policy Letter and Enclosures have been issued to provide additional clarification for visual identification requirements to support the implementation of LOSS. This policy letter states that CNIC CYP has received supplemental funding to offer eligible CYP employees an opportunity to become a Military School Age (MSA) representative. The document contains the MSA Representative policy letter, training guidelines and nomination packet. The MSA Representative Training is a three day intensive training designed to prepare individuals with a strong background and experience in the field of School Age Services to conduct assessment of Candidates working with School Age children.
