The Council of Professional Recognition has developed the Child Development Associate and Military School Age credentials to improve the quality of child and school-age care programs. CNIC CYP will continue to provide supplemental funding to offer CYP employees and CDH Providers an opportunity to continue their training and receive recognition from a national organization. CNIC (N926) has established a centralized contract with the Council of Professional Recognition to streamline the process for funding the CDA and MSA credentials. Enclosures (1) through (4) provide the processes for participating in this opportunity.

The purpose of the Child Development Home (CDH) Director position is to administer a home-based developmentally appropriate early childhood and school age program for children of eligible patrons. Administration includes direction and operation of a small (up to 29 homes) or medium (30-85 homes)CDH system.
The purpose of the Regional Family Child Care (FCC) Director is to facilitate the provision of safe, healthy, secure and developmentally appropriate child and youth services.
The purpose of the Child Development Home (CDH) Monitor position is to oversee a caseload of up to 30 in-process and/or certified CDH providers and to ensure that there are safe, developmentally appropriate environments for children 6 weeks to 12 years of age in these homes.
The purpose of the Regional Child Development Home (CDH) Director is to facilitate the provision of safe, healthy, secure and developmentally appropriate child and youth services. The primary functions of this position are to monitor Navy-wide policies for CDHs, provide technical direction and guidance for the functional operation of this program, and assess the Department of the Navy's (DoN) compliance with the Military Child Care Act (MCCA) of 1989.
