The Military Child Care Act of 1989 (MCCA) was passed by both the House and Senate in November 1989. The goal of MCCA was to improve the availability, management, quality, and safety of child care provided on military installations.

The Medication Authorization Form is required for all children who need to take prescription medications while at the CYP.

The Medication Dispensation Log provides a written record of the medication being given by CYP staff to the child (when it was administered, by whom, and the dosage given).

The form is used to record information that is used by the CYP Personnel to report incidences of Accidents, Incidents, Child Abuse and/or Neglect of the CYP. Disclosure of requested information is voluntary.

The Program Accommodations Form (Inclusion Support Information and Referral) documents the program accommodations required to support individual needs, whether accommodations can be provided within existing program operations and with existing resources, and the program steps taken to support the child.

The Pre-Trip Vehicle Inspection Daily Form is used daily on vehicles within the CYP.

A poster reflecting these steps is required to be posted at each handwashing location.

A guide provided by the USDA Food and Nutrition Service to support healthy meal patterns and portions for infant, child and adult (breakfast, lunch, supper, and snack).

To assist installations with opening new facilities in an efficient and timely manner to begin providing child development services, CNIC has developed timelines for encumbering new staff, child placement, procurement of supplies and equipment.
