The Navy CYP Parent Participation Plan (PPP) sample helps programs detail how they will encourage families to actively participate in their CYP. Programs are required to develop a PPP and must review and update their PPP on an annual basis to ensure an accurate and up-to-date ΓÇ£road mapΓÇ¥ for their participation efforts for the coming year.

All Navy CDCs are required to implement the Creative Curriculum as the standard curriculum to provide consistency and continuity for military children and their families as they move from base to base.

The Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC) system is prescribed by MIL-STD 3007 and provides planning, design, construction, sustainment, restoration, and modernization criteria, and applies to the Military Departments, the Defense Agencies, and the DoD Field Activities in accordance with USD(AT&L) Memorandum dated 29 May 2002. UFC will be used for all DoD projects and work for other customers where appropriate.

The Council of Professional Recognition has developed the Child Development Associate and Military School Age credentials to improve the quality of child and school-age care programs. CNIC CYP will continue to provide supplemental funding to offer CYP employees and CDH Providers an opportunity to continue their training and receive recognition from a national organization. CNIC (N926) has established a centralized contract with the Council of Professional Recognition to streamline the process for funding the CDA and MSA credentials. The Comprehensive Health/Sanitation checklist is used to verify and inspect a CYP (excluding CDH) for health and sanitation standards and to ensure a program is in compliance with the OPNAV 1700.9e.
