The Navy CYP Parent Participation Plan (PPP) sample helps programs detail how they will encourage families to actively participate in their CYP. Programs are required to develop a PPP and must review and update their PPP on an annual basis to ensure an accurate and up-to-date ΓÇ£road mapΓÇ¥ for their participation efforts for the coming year.

The Council of Professional Recognition has developed the Child Development Associate and Military School Age credentials to improve the quality of child and school-age care programs. CNIC CYP will continue to provide supplemental funding to offer CYP employees and CDH Providers an opportunity to continue their training and receive recognition from a national organization. CNIC (N926) has established a centralized contract with the Council of Professional Recognition to streamline the process for funding the CDA and MSA credentials. Enclosures (1) through (4) provide the processes for participating in this opportunity.
OSD provides a toolkit and guide for Installation Child Development and Youth Center Opening Ceremonies. The Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) Office of Family Policy/Children and Youth is providing this guide to assist program and installation staff in the planning of Groundbreaking and Opening Ceremonies. To that end, we have collected information from the Military Services and professional staff to prepare this guide.
All Navy CDCs are required to implement the Creative Curriculum as the standard curriculum to provide consistency and continuity for military children and their families as they move from base to base. The attached policy details the curriculum requirements that shall be met by all Navy Child Development Centers administering preschool programs.
