DON Infant Safe Sleep Campaign
On October 1, 2026, the Department of the Navy (DON) will launch the Infant Safe Sleep Campaign, “Safe Sleep, Strong Families, Mission Ready,” an installation-coordinated initiative designed to reduce preventable infant deaths through consistent, evidence-based safe-sleep education for Navy and Marine Corps families. Child Development Centers (CDCs) are asked to reinforce these existing standards through visible daily modeling, consistent parent education, distribution of approved campaign collateral, and active coordination with installation leadership. Campaign toolkits, family education resources, and current infant-room operating procedures are now available on MCC Central. Appropriate CDC and CYP personnel should review these materials to ensure alignment and support strong, mission-ready families across the enterprise.
