Introduction

MCCYN - Expanding Affordable Child Care

The Military Child Care in Your Neighborhood (MCCYN) fee assistance program is funded by DOD and the U.S. Coast Guard to help eligible military-connected families access affordable child care when they cannot access military-operated child care due to distance or waitlists. With MCCYN fee assistance, a portion of your child care costs is paid to offset the costs of community-based care. This makes it easier for military-connected families to afford quality child care from local community providers.

Learn about your Service's MCCYN Program

The MCCYN fee assistance program is funded by the DOD and U.S. Coast Guard. Eash Service manages the administration of their MCCYN fee assistance program to serve their service members. Standardized business rules and processes have been developed to make sure MCCYN eligibility requirements and processes are the same across all Service Branches and locations.

You may only apply for one MCCYN fee assistance program at a time. If your family may be eligible for multiple MCCYN fee assistance programs, MCC will assign your child the highest priority based on your DOD-approved sponsor type, and you will see that Service’s MCCYN program in your search results. For dual-active duty or dual DOD civilian households, MCC will display the MCCYN fee assistance program available for the parent listed as the designated sponsor in your household profile.
